Episode 37: Pro swimmer Erik Risolvato

We’re picking up with the final installment of our short two-week feature on Olympic athletes during what would’ve been the 2020 Olympics. This week my guest is swimmer Erik Risolvato, who is hoping to qualify to swim for Team USA in next summer’s Olympic games.

Risolvato actually has dual citizenship with Puerto Rico thanks to his grandmother being born there, and in the 2016 Olympics he was all set to board a flight for Rio when he was told that due to circumstances out of his control, he wouldn’t be allowed to swim. He opens up about that experience, the life of chasing fame and drugs throughout his swimming career, to giving his life and his career to the Lord.

His story is one of grace, humility, and determination.
